How to convert maxwells to microwebers
Magnetic flux integrates the normal component of flux density over area. Flux density requires area and orientation; a weber is also one volt second.
Use x for the value in Mx, b for the intermediate value in Wb, and y for the result in µWb.
µWb = Mx × 1e-8 ÷ 0.000001
Worked examples
10 Mx ≈ 0.1 µWb
Step 1: (10 × 1e-8) ≈ 1e-7 Wb.
Step 2: 1e-7 ÷ 0.000001 ≈ 0.1 µWb.20 Mx ≈ 0.2 µWb
Step 1: (20 × 1e-8) ≈ 2e-7 Wb.
Step 2: 2e-7 ÷ 0.000001 ≈ 0.2 µWb.
Results are rounded to 12 significant digits. Converting units does not increase the precision of the original measurement. Very large or small values outside JavaScript’s finite numeric range are rejected.
About Maxwells
Maxwells (Mx) measures magnetic flux under the conventions above. The base value in Wb is (x × 1e-8), where x is the numerical value in Mx. Factors shown here are rounded for display; calculations use the stored factor.
About Microwebers
Microwebers (µWb) measures magnetic flux under the conventions above. The base value in Wb is (x × 0.000001), where x is the numerical value in µWb. Factors shown here are rounded for display; calculations use the stored factor.
