Electric Resistance / Ω → mΩ
Convert Ohms to Milliohms
Convert electrical resistance in ohms and SI multiples. Convert Ohms (Ω) to Milliohms (mΩ). Find the formula, worked examples, unit definitions, and practical guidance below.
How to convert ohms to milliohms
Resistance is voltage divided by current for the stated operating conditions. Resistivity is a material property that also needs conductor geometry; impedance may include a reactive component.
Use x for the value in Ω, b for the intermediate value in Ω, and y for the result in mΩ.
mΩ = Ω ÷ 0.001
Worked examples
10 Ω ≈ 10000 mΩ
Step 1: (10 × 1) ≈ 10 Ω.
Step 2: 10 ÷ 0.001 ≈ 10000 mΩ.20 Ω ≈ 20000 mΩ
Step 1: (20 × 1) ≈ 20 Ω.
Step 2: 20 ÷ 0.001 ≈ 20000 mΩ.
Results are rounded to 12 significant digits. Converting units does not increase the precision of the original measurement. Very large or small values outside JavaScript’s finite numeric range are rejected.
About Ohms
Ohms (Ω) measures electric resistance under the conventions above. The base value in Ω is (x × 1), where x is the numerical value in Ω. Factors shown here are rounded for display; calculations use the stored factor.
About Milliohms
Milliohms (mΩ) measures electric resistance under the conventions above. The base value in Ω is (x × 0.001), where x is the numerical value in mΩ. Factors shown here are rounded for display; calculations use the stored factor.
